Turn on two-step sign-in
Protect your account with a code from an authenticator app as well as your password.
- Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. iPhones can also use the built-in Passwords app.
- In HostSorted, go to Account and click Set up two-step sign-in.
- Scan the QR code with the app, then type the 6-digit code it shows and click Turn on.
- Save your 10 recovery codes somewhere safe, such as your password manager. Each works once if you lose your phone.
- From now on, after your password, enter the code your app shows.
Good to know
- Changing phone? Set up the app on the new phone before you wipe the old one, or use a recovery code and then set it up again.
- If you lose your phone and your recovery codes, email us and we can reset it once we have confirmed it is you.
